ESG MANAGEMENT (Enviromental Social Governance)

Montecolino S.p.A. purpose is to bulwark employees, stakeholders, local community, customers and suppliers both socially and environmentally concerning health and safety.
To achieve this goal our Company analyzed all the industry-specific risks, manufacturing processes and corporates’ locations including supply chain ones, laying operations and finally also all the materials provided to the customers.

As regards sustainability our Company worked in all ESG areas.

Environmental:

Through monteECOlino Recycling Carpet project we recycled 100% of the carpets placed at the main exhibitions centers ; we are sharing the same philosophy abroad through our distributors and partners trying to completely change market rules.

Environmental commitment encouraged us to sign “Net Zero Carbon Event” with growing goals to reduce our company carbon footprint with targets on year 2025, 2030 and 2050.

Within few years we’ll be able to smoothly reduce emissions thanks to:

• Dedicated investment plan
• Low emissions technologies
• Expansion of our photovoltaic system for a lower energy consumption
• Increasing interest for recycling activities

Social:

We joined WHP project of Lombardy Region that includes programs designed to enhance health and wellness of our employees. It’s a continuous improvement process to preserve and promote all workers’ health, safety and welfare, with special attention to:

• Physical risk factors at workplace that can negatively impact on health and safety;
• Psychosocial risk factors including labor and culture organization that can skew on employees health, safety and welfare
• Resources devoted to improve health conditions of working people (promotion of healthy lifestyles)
• Ability to spur this approach to workers’ families and local community, sharing all the positive experiences and actions for the improvement of employees health.

Governance:

We are determined to be more and more transparent towards all stakeholders because we firmly believe that through relationships of mutual satisfaction we can easily find the proper motivation for further growth.

Together with Ethical Code and 231 Model we also have at our disposal a system to handle whistleblowing notifications whereby we achieved legality rating.

In May 2024 we have been admitted to Elite Borsa Italiana program (Italian Stock Exchange), an impactful step to development that we actually don’t know where will lead us but we decided to eagerly embrace.

Our effort to sustainability topics allowed us to get ESG B score of Cribis.
